The library of HeBei Institute of International Business and Economics was opened to readers in April 2016. Its predecessor is the library of HeBei University of Foreign Languages. At present, the total building area of the building is 11657 square meters, with 4 reading rooms for electronic, reference books, newspapers and self-study centers, 6 libraries for Chinese and foreign languages and 3 study rooms for self-study. The library has one curator and two deputy curators, and the library office, the editorial department, the circulation department, the reference department and the digital resources department are under the library. There are 27 staff members, including 8 master's degree candidates and 19 bachelor's degree candidates. There are 12 deputy senior titles, 13 intermediate titles and 2 junior titles.
With the enlargement of school running scale and education level, college in the literature resource construction, modernization and librarian team construction increase investment year by year, working conditions improved significantly. At present, the library has a print collection of 500,000 books, nearly 150,000 electronic books, over 770 periodicals and over 100 newspapers. In addition, the library has also introduced CNKI, Wan Fang Data, New Oriental Network Courses, Multilingual Examination Database and other databases. Around the school running overall objectives, adhere to library construction as the core, in order to meet the reader demand as own duty, in order to improve the qualities of librarians as the basis, to strengthen the modern management as the key point, actively carry out all work, continuously improve service quality and management level.
